thinking about… escort cards!
Escort cards are a logistic necessity. But this practical wedding element doesn’t have to be boring. Add your own style and some unique pieces, and the escort cards can seamlessly blend into the theme and tone of your event. Here are some great examples to get you thinking!
Going traditional can come in many different forms…
But if you’re going for some creative punch, why not find a great, practical frame for card display and match all the pieces to your theme? Use upholstery fabric or burlap; use bulletin board, foam board, or chalkboard; use magnets, t-pins, or push pins. You can even slide the cards into a run of ribbon. Just make it yours!
Some people like to combine favors and escort cards, making the card last for the reception and beyond. Alternatively: why not give your guests an escort that they can enjoy right there and then?
Find some great vintage pieces (like crates, shutters, fans, old gates) and hang, prop, file, or display your escort cards. Match the cards to the piece you use, like lining up vintage library check-out cards in a rustic crate (see below).
