Being a part of the Charlottesville Wedding community, we are constantly amazed and inspired by the vendors that we have here. And today is no different. Today, over 20 vendors and 60 people will come together to pull of the Charlottesville Free Wedding Project, spearheaded by photographer Jack Looney. It’s an effort to give a wedding to a couple that stands out in the community. When Jack asked us if Stonegate would be interested in donating some of our inventory, we jumped at the chance.

We designed a custom look for Briana & Ian’s wedding at King Family Vineyards. Their colors are red and plum — so we’ve made a custom backdrop for their photo-booth and flags to be used throughout their reception. Stay tuned for some of the photos of their big day!

After dating for the first year, Briana was diagnosed with lynphona cancer. Ian was there every step of the way — to provide the support that she needed as Briana under went chemo, found herself shaving her head and facing a serious cancer at age 27. She is now cancer-free and now volunteers as a coach with Team in Training that raises money for the Luekemia and Lymphoma Society, which helped develop the treatments that saved her life. She and Ian live a happy and, thankfully, healthy life now together in Charottesville. And today — they’ll start a new chapter as they say their “I do’s” with the Charlottesville community behind them.

Thanks to these amazing vendors for donating their time and services. I’m proud to be a part of your effort. And can’t wait to see this big day unfold for Briana and Ian!
